The First Dance is a highly sought after dance studio specialising in wedding dance choreography. We offer private lessons to couples and wedding parties.
Our lessons are 45 minutes in duration. You receive one on one tuition from an experienced dancer and choreographer and a dance that is designed especially for you. We can also cater for your whole wedding party – Bride, Groom, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen for a real show stopper routine! At the First Dance we can create you a dance, be it a simple waltz, elegant fox trot or a routine with wow factor
; that will put you and your partner at ease and make you look great! We advise you to begin your dance up to 3 months before your wedding day. Performing a choreographed wedding dance is a new skill, so take some time to feel comfortable with your steps and be stress free for your big day. Turn your lessons into a date-night activity. You and your partner can spend time together, having fun, without the usual wedding planning stress. Song Choice:
Choose a song that makes you feel great and expresses the feelings you want to convey. A clear, steady beat will make dancing together much easier. We can help with song selection. A wedding dance should be 2 – 3 minutes in length. A shorter, well thought out and practiced dance will keep your guests attention and gain you the applause you deserve. Memories:
A well-choreographed dance will give you enjoyment and fabulous memories. Our choreographer will design a dance with you and give you lots of options regarding difficulty levels. Don’t forget to plan with your photographer and/or videographer to document your dance. Let them know you have had your dance choreographed so they can capture all the important parts. We can choreograph lifts, dips and turns that will look amazing in photographs!
