We’re incredibly proud of our representatives who recently competed and officiated at the FISU World University Futsal Championships in Poland.

Representing New Zealand on the international stage were Mark Zimmerman, Daniel Steffert, Charlie Bayly and Ben Cameron, while Chris Sinclair was selected to officiate throughout the tournament (including the final!).

The experience provided opportunities to compete against and connect with student athletes and officials from around the world, while proudly wearing the Fern.

The Youth Futsal Champs are a cornerstone of the national futsal calendar - bringing together the brightest young talent from across the country for a high-energy, national level competition.

PLAYERS need to submit an Expression of Interest to trial for this year’s representative teams.

WE NEED TEAM STAFF to deliver an exceptional experience for our local players and help shape the next generation of futsal athletes, we’re seeking dedicated, passionate, and motivated team staff to lead and support teams throughout the tournament campaign. We welcome coaches & managers with prior experience, particularly in futsal, and those working towards or holding relevant qualifications.

At this stage, full details of the competition are still being confirmed (including format, schedule, and travel requirements). However, we want to provide as much notice as possible so players can begin to plan ahead and ensure eligibility.

Proud to see Mainland Football well represented at the CFA International Tournament in China. Great exposure, quality opposition, and another step forward for our players and coaches as Aotearoa continues to build on the momentum of the recent World Cups.

We are excited to share that Mainland Football will be represented by six teams at the 2026 NZF Futsal Youth Futsal Championships. The tournament is being held right here in Christchurch at the Parakiore Recreation Centre from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 December 2026.
