It is with great excitement to announce that registration for the 2026 DGL season is officially open!!!!!

This year we will have our normal Mixed and Female’s leagues however, I would like to see how many of our youth might be interested in joining. So this year, if you are 14 years or under (as of the 31st December 2026) We will attempt to create a league for you.
To make it even sweeter…Your league will be FREE!!

If we do not get enough numbers, we will put you into one of the other leagues, however entry is still free.

How does it work?
Groups
- You will be placed in a group with people of similar skill level as you or with your mates/club.
- Ideally group sizes will be 8 to 10 people, depending on how many people sign up.
- You will receive the contact information for the people in your group; this is to make arranging your games easier.

Games
- Games will be played at Jellie Park – League Layout
- Every Monday I will post who you will be playing for that week. It is up to you to reach out and organize your game.
- Games can be played anytime you both are free to play and once completed, send me the results for me to update the competition.
- There are no tie breakers in the regular season so matches can end in a draw.
- Ideally you will complete these games within 2 weeks of it being posted.
- If there are issues with arranging your game, please let me know.

Group Finals
- After you play everyone in your group once, the top 2 will compete in the Group Finals to found out who the group winner will be. This will be run as a single day event, 2 rounds.

Best of the best
- Based on average scores the top 32 Mixed and 4 Female will compete in the best of the best to find out who the overall DGL champion will be.

The Wahine Kopae on May 24th is specifically inviting more women and children to come and play. The venue is the excellent Kaiapoi domain! $10 entry fee and disc hire is possible. Choose an age group and/or skill level which suits you!

Wāhine Kōpae 2026 - WGE Christchurch 2026 Wāhine Kōpae 2026 - WGE Christchurch 2026 is a PDGA-sanctioned disc golf tournament in Kaiapoi, New Zealand beginning May 24, 2026 and hosted by Christchurch Disc Golf Club.

Week 5 of the Interschool Disc Golf League sees us at Warren Park for the last session. Can't wait to see how much all your scores have improved by!

Session 4 was great fun out at Jellie Park. Our junior players are displaying some great skills.

Drive distances, shot shapes and confident putting are leading to first time pars and birdies! Keep it up, young disc golfers and consider coming out to a competitive event! Kia kaha!

Week 4 of the Christchurch Inter-Schools Disc Golf League will be at Jellie Park.

Parking is available at Burnside High School and on-road parking is better near the pool centre entrance.

Session 3, on Wednesday March 4th this week, will be at Warren Park. Please meet by hole 18 between 3:15 and 3:30. Our 4 volunteers will be on the course by 3pm for any players who arrive earlier.

Great first session today at Warren Park! I want to express a massive thanks to our volunteers: Duane, Gregor, Karl and Jin for being part of it.

Our young people showed great shot shaping potential, displayed fine sportsmanship and shared some quality yarns out on the course.

I hope you're all excited for Jellie Park on the 25th February!
