Established in 1863, CFC is arguably the 2nd oldest rugby club in the world, after Blackheath in London. Proud to celebrate our 160th anniversary in 2023, we are a central part of our Christchurch community and wear our red and black colors with PRIDE!

We have produced over 47 All Blacks or Black Ferns representatives, including five captains to include Richie McCaw and Melissa Ruscoe.

While we are extremely proud of our professional representation, we are at heart a grass roots rugby club, and our heart and soul are made up of our many club families who support our club.

With an ever-growing junior club, we are huge supporters of the NZ Junior Rugby Festival and the opportunities it offers to young players.

We can't wait to be part of the action this year and look forward to meeting all the teams, families and supporters who will take part!

This is what sport is about!

Yesterday our Year 6 rugby tamariki went head to head with a brilliant CFC side,and what a game it was 🙌🏽

They played their hearts out, mixed teams for a half which made for an absolute blast, and finished the day celebrating together on the field.

This is what youth sport is all about. Two teams, one community, and a whole lot of smiles.

One more week of games to go see you next Saturday!
