🐶 SHIELD STAYS WITH THE DOGS. 🛡️🔥

A tough, windy afternoon at QEII and a hard-fought contest against the University Cougars, but the Bulldogs got the job done 68–34 to retain the Terry Anderson Shield.

It wasn’t always pretty in the conditions, but the boys stayed composed, kept working and found a way to take control when it mattered.

Another strong team performance, another four points, and another important step forward as we head deeper into the season.

Shield retained. Momentum building. Dogs up. 🐶🔥

🐶 ROUND SIX. THE DOGS ARE ROLLING. 🔥

Fresh off a big second-half performance last week, the Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow against the University Cougars with another important four points on the line.

There’s good momentum building through the pack, but plenty of work still to do as we head into the back half of the season.

Get down, get around the boys and help us bring the noise from the first bounce.

Momentum’s building. Let’s keep it moving. Dogs up. 🐶

🐶 THE DOGS FOUND ANOTHER GEAR. 🔥

All square at half time, then the pack took control.

A huge third and fourth quarter saw the Bulldogs break the game open and run out 90–39 winners over the Mid Canterbury Eagles, turning a tight contest into a commanding finish.

The pressure lifted, the scoreboard started moving and, once the Dogs got rolling, we didn’t look back.

A strong response from the group and some valuable momentum to carry into the second half of the season.

Big second half. Big win. Dogs moving. 🐶🔥

🐶 ROUND FIVE. BACK AT IT TOMORROW.

The Dogs are back in action against the Mid Canterbury Eagles, with another important four points up for grabs and a few familiar faces returning to the side.

Last time these two teams met, the Eagles got the better of us in a tight contest. Tomorrow gives us another chance to respond, keep building and put together the kind of four-quarter performance we know we’re capable of.

Get down, get around the boys and back the Dogs from the first bounce.

A few old faces back in the pack. Plenty to play for. Let’s go, Dogs. 🐶🔥

🐶 NOT OUR DAY, BUT PLENTY TO TAKE FROM IT.

A tough battle against the Blues saw the Dogs go down 57–41 in Round Four.

We had our moments and kept working right through to the final siren, but credit to the Blues — they were better when it mattered and deserved the four points.

There’s still plenty of footy ahead, plenty for this group to keep building on, and we’ll be back at training ready to go again.

Heads up. Dogs together. Onto the next one. 🐶

🐶 ROUND FOUR. BACK FOR ANOTHER BITE. 🔥

The Blues say they’re bringing their deepest line-up of the season tomorrow to make up after an opening-round loss against the dogs. We’ve got four quarters to remind them exactly why the first one went our way.

Same park. Same opposition. Same hungry Dogs.

See you at the bounce. 🐶🔥

🐶 THE DOGS RAN RIOT. 🔥

A massive response from the pack at QEII, with the Bulldogs putting together a dominant four-quarter performance to run out 152–37 winners over the University Cougars.

A couple of new Dogs earned their collars and showed they belong in the side, while the forward line was let off the leash and made the most of every opportunity that came their way.

From the first bounce to the final siren, the pressure stayed on and the Dogs never took the foot off the throat.

Big win. Bring on next week. 🐶🔥

🐶 THE DOGS ARE BACK ON THE HUNT. 🔥

Round Three sees the pack return to QEII Park, with the University Cougars next in our sights.

Last week left a bad taste in the mouth, and this Saturday the Dogs are coming out hungry, physical and ready to put four quarters of pressure on cat standing in our way.

Get down to QEII, make some noise and get behind the pack as we go hunting for the W.

Let’s get after it. 🐶🔥

🐶 NOT OUR DAY.

A brutal day for footy and a hard-fought battle against the Mid Canterbury Eagles, but the Dogs went down 49–36 in Round Two.

We had our chances and fought right to the final siren, but the Eagles handled the tough, windy conditions better and did enough to take the W.

Not the result we came for, but there’s plenty of fight in this pack and plenty of season still ahead.

We’ll lick the wounds, get back to work and come out biting next week. 🐶🔥

🐶 ROUND TWO. THE DOGS ARE HUNTING. 🔥

Next up, the Christchurch Bulldogs go head-to-head with the Mid Canterbury Eagles as we look to keep building momentum in the 2026 season.

The Eagles might be ready to fly, but there’s a hungry pack waiting underneath them.

We’re bringing the pressure, the physicality and plenty of bite as the Dogs go hunting for another four points.

Round Two. Dogs v Eagles. Let’s get after it. 🐶🔥
