🌸 Two Tutus. Two Tuesdays. Two FREE Classes.
Everything's better with a friend, so bring one along if you can. If not, come anyway—as we are confident you will soon make new ballet friends.
This August, join us for two complimentary Tuesday morning classes at Papa Hou and discover why so many adults have fallen in love with ballet.
Three classes to choose from:
🩰 9:30–10:45am | Silver Swans
Perfect for dancers returning to ballet or those with previous experience. This 75-minute class offers a full ballet class experience with time to develop strength, musicality, coordination and artistry in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
🩰 10:50–11:50am | Silver Swans Technique
Ideal for beginners and dancers wanting to strengthen their understanding of ballet technique. With a smaller class and plenty of individual guidance, you'll explore the foundations of ballet, improve posture, alignment and balance, and build confidence at your own pace.
🩰 12:00–1:00pm | Mixed Level Adult Ballet
For adults with some ballet experience who enjoy being challenged while working at their own level. A varied class designed to continue developing technique, strength and artistry.
Contact Celia [email protected] for more information or just book a class direct through www.bosman.nz
Offer available to new Bosman Ballet Flow dancers attending Tuesday morning classes at Papa Hou during August.

For the past two weeks we've had a very special international (well perhaps local) guest artist joining our classes... Ballerina Bear! 🩰🐻
(Yes, we know... completely age appropriate! 😉)
If you've been in class recently, you'll know we've been working on creating a beautifully rounded position of the arms during our pliés by imagining you're giving a giant teddy bear a big, gentle hug. Alice decided it was time to provide some real-life inspiration and introduced us to Ballerina Bear!
While she was dancing with us, we managed to capture a few candid moments of BB (we're rather fond of the fact that her initials match Bosman Ballet Flow!) enjoying time with our wonderful dancers and making herself at home in our beautiful studios.
We're going to miss our furry little guest, but every international artist has another engagement to get to. Safe travels, Ballerina Bear—we hope to welcome you back for another season soon! 🩰💕

❄️ Winter might have brought some chilly mornings, but we have been lucky to enjoy beautiful sunshine streaming into the studio at Black Box, Theatre and Venues at Papa Hou. There's something so lovely about dancing in the warm winter light. ☀️🩰
Just a reminder that Bosman Ballet Flow classes continue right through the school holiday break. Come and join us for a class.
Here's a little glimpse of some beautiful sunshine filling the studio. It certainly makes winter feel a little brighter! 💛

Ballet with the MacBosmans!
Ballet and tartan... it's not a combination you see every day! 😊
There was a splash of tartan in the studio this week as we celebrated Tartan Day in New Zealand on 1st July. Several of our dancers wore tartan to acknowledge their Scottish heritage or ancestry, and everyone joined in the fun 🏴.

We were delighted to welcome Carol from Sport Canterbury to class this week for our annual ACC New Zealand Live Stronger for Longer assessment on our Royal Academy of Dance New Zealand Silver Swans classes.
We're proud to share that Bosman Ballet Flow has once again been reaccredited for another year.
Carol's report highlighted many of the benefits she sees in our dancers, including improved balance, stability, confidence, foot and ankle strength, and even the cognitive challenges that ballet provides.
Some of Carol's comments included:
"Ballet is fantastic for weight shifting, especially for building foot and ankle strength. These lateral movements and going up on your toes are excellent for improving overall balance and control."
Carol goes on to say: "I love the feedback I continuously receive (from the dancers) on how their balance and stability has improved. I also loved hearing of others whose confidence had grown by coming."
And perhaps our favourite from Carol:
"Your dancers move with such ease and grace. It's so lovely to watch."
Thank you to our wonderful dancers for bringing such enthusiasm to class each week. See you in the ballet studio soon!
