We will reintroduce the Red Bucket for a Training fee, not compulsory but a $5 contribution and we can donate to a worthy cause.

Feel unsteady? Judo might be the answer 27/07/2026

Judo isn't just a sport - it's a life skill!

We just had to share this article today, as one of New Zealand's leading experts on falls and ageing has highlighted judo as a great way to learn how to fall safely and improve balance.

No matter your age, judo develops coordination, resilience, confidence and respect in a fun and supportive environment and all of that is available at Camkada Judo Club. The techniques we practice on the mat can benefit you both on and off it.

If you've ever wondered if judo is right for you or your child, this RNZ interview is well worth a listen.

If you would like to experience these benefits for yourself, we'd love to welcome you to one of our classes. Beginners of all ages are always welcome. We have loan Gi's available for you to have a go first, for free!

Feel unsteady? Judo might be the answer More than 770,000 New Zealanders injure themselves through slips, trips, and falls every year. Professor Ngaire Kerse joins Jim to discuss how to fall well and whether learning judo could help.
