Great day for the Marlborough Girls' College shooting team at the Nelson Inter-Secondary match today, winning Top team, top Girls Team, and Marlborough Girls v Nelson Girls trophies.
Abi was Top Girl, and was well supported by Alex and Courtney. Anaya and Bess competed as individuals, and also performed very creditably.

We don't usually post about club scores, but this is a bit special.

A good representation by Riverside members at the Ellesmere and Ashburton champs over the weekend, our seven shooters made up about 10% of entries.
Gemma had a good weekend in B grade, 291 (4th) at Ellesmere, and 292 (3rd) at Ashburton, and winning the Canterbury B grade circuit trophy. Her fellow B graders also shot well, Jamie 290, 293 (2nd), and Simon 286, 291.
Our Master grade shooters were Jonno 293, and 297 (3rd), Helen 295, 292, Issy 291, 295, and Val 289, 294.

Another good day for our shooters at the Coronation Champs today, Second placings for Jason in A grade and Jamie in B grade.
Jason, Helen, and Jamie in the Open Top 10, and Jamie and Gemma in the BCD Top 10, with Gemma scoring a great 198 to win the BCD final.

Eight Riverside club members travelled south to the Christchurch Champs yesterday with a few good results. Jason finished 5th in A grade, Gemma was third in B grade with 291, making the BCD Top 10, and Jamie scored 290 to also make the BCD Top 10. The rest of us will be looking to improve today at the Coronation Champs.

A good turnout, and some good scores at tonight's club shoot. Former club member Ray, now in his 80s scored 96.5 on the sling, while Mary-Ann with 99.7, and Abi with 99.3 showed the way in C and D grades. Simon's 99.7 was the best of the B graders, with Rachel, Glenn and Jamie just a point behind. High score of the night went to Val with 💯.9, while Jason H. also posted a ton with 💯.5.

Our new match, the BSA Classic seemed to be a hit with the 11 hardy souls who participated. After three days of ups and downs Helen Freiman finished in front, thanks to a 98.5 finish.
Great nostalgia to hear the ping as empty shells flew halfway down the range, hopefully there may be a few more participants next year.
