Papatoetoe RSA Bowling Club was founded in 1952 & first day of play on 15 October 1955. Later the club changed its name to St George Bowls and Sports Club.

Papatoetoe RSA Bowling Club was founded in 1952 with the pavilion opening and first day of play on 15 October 1955. Over the years improvements, eg new greens, hall additions, installing a sprinkler system and building a lounge were made.
