It’s a bye for the U16 girls this coming weekend. A well deserved rest.

But here’s the details for the following weeks game, get it into your diary now!

Saturday 12th September 3:15pm against North Harbour Black at Sacred Heart College.

A great game for the U16 Boys yesterday with a 12-3 win against Marist Black. It's amazing to see the team developing their skills and strategy and their hard work has been paying off!

Quarter finals start next weekend.

Double Header Recap U16 Girls Div 1

vs Waikato 9-5 (win!)

The girls lead each quarter and pulled away in the 4th with four goals. The girls worked very hard in defence - 6 ejections earned and plenty of steals. A very satisfying win.

vs SW Grey 8-3 (loss)

Second, and late, game of the night. Good defensive pressure again from the girls.
The goals scored from Waitakere showed some versatility.

🤽 TRY FLIPPA BALL AT WEST WAVE!

Waitakere Water Polo Club is holding three free Have-a-Go sessions during the final three Sundays of Term 3.

Flippa Ball is a fun, shallow-water introduction to water polo for primary-school children. Participants will try passing, shooting, movement and short games while developing water confidence and teamwork.

These sessions are also the first step towards our new six-week Term 4 Flippa Ball League.

Children can join a school-organised team or register individually for placement in a composite WWPC team. We would also love to hear from parents interested in helping coordinate a team—no water polo coaching experience is necessary.

Places are limited, so register early!

Really strong performance from the girls yesterday. Solid defence all game - earning kick outs, steals, and holding the lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Atlantis fought back hard, scoring 3 goals in the final quarter to edge it to win by a single goal.

The U16 Boys had a great game yesterday afternoon with a clean sheet 7-0 win against Mountfort Toki.
