🇳🇿 JUNIOR WORLD SERIES – DUBAI ✈️🇿🇦

Just over halfway there!

The big leg is done — Auckland to Dubai — and the team has arrived safely in Dubai. We’ve picked up a few more members of our touring party here and managed to get another great group photo before we head off again.

Now there’s just the “short” 8-hour flight to Johannesburg 😂✈️

It’s been a long journey already, but the excitement is building as we get closer to South Africa and the 2026 WICF Junior World Series.

A massive thank you again to all of the families, supporters and sponsors who have helped make this trip possible. The banner in the photo is a pretty good reminder of just how many people and businesses have got behind our young players.

Next stop — Johannesburg! 🇿🇦

🇳🇿 And just like that… we’re off to South Africa! 🇿🇦

Almost the entire New Zealand Junior World Series touring party is assembled and ready to board for Pretoria! ✈️🏏

We’re missing a few members of the group who will join us in Dubai, and then we’ll all be together for what promises to be an incredible experience at the 2026 Junior World Series.

A very special shout-out to Kim Scott, who has worked absolutely tirelessly behind the scenes getting the uniforms sorted. Kim was still working right up until the last minute, getting the final pieces of uniform to the group just before we boarded tonight. An absolute superstar — thank you Kim! 🌟🇳🇿

A massive thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters who have helped make this trip possible for our junior players. Your support has made a real difference and given these young athletes the opportunity to represent New Zealand on the world stage.

Now the adventure begins!

South Africa, here we come! 🇳🇿🏏🇿🇦

🇳🇿🇦🇺 Masters Trans-Tasman – Day 4 Wrap

And that’s a wrap on the 2026 Masters Trans-Tasman Series in Auckland!

There were some great matches on the final day, with just one Test remaining in each grade and plenty of pride still on the line.

Australia continued the form they had shown throughout the week, with New Zealand’s 45s the only Kiwi side to pick up a win on the final day.

The final series results were:

* 35s: Australia 6–1
* 40s: Australia 7–0
* 45s: Australia 5–2
* 50s: Australia 7–0
* 55s: Australia 5–2
* Women: Australia 6–1

Congratulations to Australia on winning all six grades. An outstanding performance across the week and a thoroughly deserved Trans-Tasman series victory.

While the results didn’t go New Zealand’s way overall, there was some fantastic indoor cricket played throughout the four days, with plenty of close games, outstanding individual performances and, most importantly, enormous pride shown by everyone representing their country.

The week was rounded out with our prizegiving at Eden Park, and after four hard days of competition it was great to see the Australian and New Zealand teams come together, catch up, share a few stories and enjoy each other’s company away from the court.

That is one of the things that makes Masters indoor cricket and the Trans-Tasman rivalry so special — fierce competitors on court and great mates once the game is finished.

A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in making the week happen, and congratulations again to all of our players, officials and award winners.

🇳🇿 Until next time, Australia — safe travels home, and we’ll look forward to doing it all again! 🇦🇺

🇳🇿🏏 TRANS-TASMAN – DAY THREE WRAP 🇦🇺🏏

Australia continued their dominance on Day Three of the Masters Trans-Tasman, wrapping up all six grades, but there were some fantastic contests and memorable moments for New Zealand throughout the day.

The 55s produced one of the games of the tournament in their opening test. Australia posted a massive 145, but New Zealand took up the challenge and chased it down, securing an incredible victory off the final ball. Australia responded by winning the second match to take an unassailable 4–2 series lead, with one test remaining tomorrow.

The 40s and 50s both produced much closer contests today, but Australia continued their unbeaten runs and now lead both series 6–0.

The first game of the day saw the NZ Women break through for a well-deserved victory in an absolute thriller, holding on 103–101. Australia bounced back in the afternoon test and now lead the series 5–1.

The 35s went down in their opening test of the day to fall 5–0 behind, before producing one of the most remarkable matches of the week on the show court.

New Zealand scored just 31 – but then produced an outstanding defensive effort to restrict Australia to only 21 and take the win. An old-school, low-scoring indoor cricket battle featuring some amazing cricket from both sides. 🇳🇿💪

Australia have now secured all six series and thoroughly deserve their overall Trans-Tasman victory, but New Zealand showed plenty of fight today with some outstanding performances across the grades.

One test remains for every team tomorrow as we bring the 2026 Masters Trans-Tasman to a close.

🇳🇿🏏 Six games. One last opportunity to finish strongly in the silver fern.
