e joined Oraltec in 1999 and managed the growth of the fledgling dental supply company to what is now regarded as a leader in innovation, quality and reliability within the dental supply industry. John is a senior dentist with a postgraduate degree in Restorative Dentistry who is responsible for the business development as well as providing technical and clinical support. Sales representatives are based throughout New Zealand to ensure Oraltec is able to deliver on its promise to provide the highest level of customer service possible. Oraltec’s philosophy is simple; to provide an excellent standard of customer service with high quality products. Inventory levels are maintained so that back-orders are kept to a minimum and staff are well trained so that they have advanced knowledge of the products and customers. Having an experienced dentist on the team enables highly practical clinical and technical advice to be offered to customers at a personal level. In this way we are also able to provide valuable feedback to suppliers and more effectively assist with problem resolution if and when product issues arise. Oraltec strives to keep up with new and innovative products. Dr Hale is able to test potential new products and works with Otago University around their requirements. The company sources ergonomically designed instruments and equipment and looks for biocompatible and environmentally friendly products which are able to meet health and safety requirements while improving comfort and efficiency for the modern dental professional. We supply dental products to a number of Pacific Island countries, including the Fiji National University (responsible for training all Pacific Island dentists, hygienists, therapists and technicians) as well as the Fiji Ministry of Health, Rarotonga and Solomon Islands. We are also proud to support initiatives and projects with donations of supplies and grants for specific courses/training to assist and improve the standard of dental health in these Pacific Island countries.
