A late goal from Nenny Elipas proved the difference as Hekari overcame a spirited defensive performance from Puaikura FC to secure a hard-fought 1–0 victory.

The PNG champions now move one step closer to regional glory.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗙𝗖

Friday, July 4, 2026, marked a special milestone for PNG Hekari FC as the team trained for the first time at its future home ground at Durand Farm Estate, just outside 8 Mile.

Although the facility is still under development, it is steadily taking shape and will become the club’s permanent home.

The complex will feature two football fields, two futsal courts, a swimming pool, a gym centre, a large chapel, and residential accommodation for staff, all within one location.

It will also serve as the base for Hekari’s academy programs aimed at developing the next generation of football stars.

Construction has been progressing steadily, and the vision is now becoming a reality. The players enjoyed their first session on the grounds that will soon be known as the home of Hekari FC.

The training also served as Hekari’s final preparation ahead of their Round 11 PNG Premier Soccer League clash against NCD FC today at the PNG Football Stadium.
