This 25/26 season was such a roller coaster, weve had many ups and downs but Payton has come back with a smile after every meeting.

We raced:
4 SNZ tracks
🏁 Waikaraka Park Speedway
🏁 Huntly Speedway
🏁 Oceanview Speedway
🏁 Paradise Valley Speedway

3 Non SNZ tracks
🏁 Waharoa Speedway
🏁 Meremere Dirt Track
🏁 Taipa Speedway

Payton Participated in 30 Meetings over the season!!

We’ve had a very eventful season with a bent roof, few bumpers bent, and many popped tyres but we have fixed it and gotten back out there every single time!!

A few words from Payton:

This season has been very very hectic season definitely a good season of learning and having fun. I would like to say a thank you to Mum, Dad, Nana Dot, Poppa Ray and my family for all the support this season. I also would like to thank all my Friends and their families that have supported and helped me out this season. I am extremely excited for next season as this is my last season in Youth Ministocks but right now we have a long offseason ahead!

🏁 Taipa Kings Birthday 2 Day 🏁

On the 30th and 31st of May we went to Taipa Speedway for the Taipa Kings Birthday 2 Day!!

SATURDAY 30TH DAY 1
RACE 1
Started 10th finished race
Got spun first lap and showed good pace during the race and caught back up to rest of the pack.

RACE 2
Started 12th finished race
In this race Payton was making good progress but got caught up with a spun car last lap of the race and unfortunately car behind hit her hard causing a lot of damage which stopped the car being ready for the next race.

RACE 3
Started 14th finished race
Thanks to Matthew’s Motorsport 113a for letting Payton hop into their car for her last race because her car was still unable to race.

SUNDAY 31ST DAY 2
RACE 1
Started 16th finished race with really good pace again but with the damage from day before wasn’t handling as well as could be,
Had a good race in the end.

RACE 2
Started 2nd finished 4th
Best race she had over the weekend even with the rain making the track slippery as but it was a lot of fun.

RACE 3
Unfortunately the rain won and this race was cancelled.

This weekend I’m racing at Taipa Speedway for the 2-day King’s Birthday meeting. We honestly weren’t sure if we were going to make it because unfortunately my Aunty Sandra (my dad’s older sister) has been very, very sick.

It’s been an extremely difficult week seeing her in the condition she’s in, and I’ve been making sure my dad gets to spend as much time with her as possible. Because of this, we nearly decided not to race so we could stay home with her and the rest of our family during such a hard time.

So this weekend, I’ll be racing in honour of my Aunty Sandra, and we’re hoping to see her again as soon as we get back to Auckland.

🏁 King of the park 🏁

On the 2nd of May we went to Waikaraka Park Speedway for the Ministocks King of the park!!

RACE 1
Started 3rd finished 12th
She started great keeping in the top 5 but unfortunately she experienced a little bit of contact which caused to lose positions

RACE 2
Started 20th finished DNF
Unfortunately Payton got spun onto the infield and the cars battery was flat and sadly the car wouldn’t start.

Unfortunately Payton did not qualify for the feature!!

🚨 ONEHUNGA FESTIVAL 🚨

We had an awesome opportunity bringing the cars down to Waikaraka Park Speedway for the Onehunga Festival — from 12pm right up until the rain hit at 4pm

It was so cool seeing heaps of kids jumping into Payton’s car 37A and Tyson Matthews’ car 113A. Hopefully we’ve inspired a few future drivers in the making 🏁
