Are you passionate about hospitality and enjoy creating a welcoming environment? We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our club bar.
✨ About the Role
As our Bar Manager, you'll ensure the bar operates efficiently, remains clean, well-stocked, and ready to provide excellent service for members and guests. You'll work closely with the Club Administrator and report to the Trustees.
🍺 What You'll Be Doing
✔ Managing the bar's opening hours in consultation with the Club Administrator.
✔ Overseeing stock control and ordering.
✔ Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
✔ Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
✔ Operating the till and completing end-of-day procedures.
✔ Assisting with tournaments, club events, and special functions.
✔ Providing friendly, professional customer service.
✅ What We're Looking For
🍻 A current Bar Manager's Certificate (essential).
🍻 Previous bar or hospitality experience.
🍻 Confidence using a till and completing cash-up procedures.
🍻 A current First Aid Certificate is an advantage (not essential).
🍻 Someone who is reliable, organised, and enjoys working with people.
🕒 Hours
Regular Hours
📅 Weeknights: 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm
📅 Saturdays: Approximately 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm (hours may vary depending on tournaments)
Additional hours will be required for:

🎉 Club tournaments
🎊 Special events and functions
📅 Occasional Sundays
Flexibility is essential, as hours will vary according to the club's event calendar.

Recently we had a mini tournment for Howick Squash juniors. Thanks to Wiri Licensing Trust and Woodside Restaurant (.org.nz) for the winners vouchers (and we have more for the next one also so make sure you enter!). Thanks also to Rafa Yam for his guidance with juniors and players generally. He even had Ella Lash (World #86 at the club recently).

Great Age Group Champs again yesterday. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the inclusion of Juniors and personally was awesome to see the Luke v Tanish and Luke v Jva'lin matches. Champion of the Ages would have worked better if everyone read the emails instead of hitting the showers - or bar lol.
