A great weekend with Orewa Sea Scouts one of our local Scouts Aotearoa groups.
11 leaders trained up in outdoor first aid, to provide care to their "scouts" should the need arise.
Some great discussions about first aid kits, communication, planning, and much more.
Really enjoy hearing these convos happening and seeing these amazing keen parents wanting to do their best when out in our great outdoors.

When was your last first aid training?
Would you know what to do if someone around you was injured or became unwell?
Do you have a well-stocked first aid kit:
✅ At work or in the office?
✅ At home?
✅ In your vehicle?
Accidents can happen anywhere, and being prepared can make all the difference while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
Take a few minutes today to check your first aid kit and consider whether it's time for a refresher course in first aid training. You never know when those skills could help save a life.

Good to see pre planning helped here.
Epic job by the climbers and the rescue teams dealing with this up on the ice.
Pretty stoked to know we help in the back ground with these type of rescues.
Climber’s nightmare 300m fall ends with axe in abdomen on Taranaki Maunga
Planning, and a well-organised rescue team helped save the climber.

Aonther good day with members from Land Search & Rescue New Zealand Auckland this time.
Great to see some of the old team members still involved, and all the new members coming up the ranks.
Some great new skills learnt by many.

We have to apologize for something a little bad.
Our trainings have been so real we have had helpfull bystanders offer to help and called ambulance services.
We now have a flag to go up when we have courses and trainings in public settings, this will hopefully mean the scenerios can continue without upsetting the local community.
