Currently on display at Jonathan Grant Gallery is Open Door, a special exhibition of works by Eion Stevens.
Drawn from the artist's estate, the exhibition brings together a carefully selected group of paintings that showcase the wit, imagination and originality that made Stevens one of New Zealand's most distinctive and recognisable artists.
The exhibition will remain on display in its entirety until 8 July, providing a rare opportunity to view this remarkable collection as it was intended to be seen.
Net proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Auckland City Mission, reflecting Eion's longstanding desire to support causes that make a meaningful difference within the community.

Eion Stevens - Open Door - Exhibition opening next Tuesday 23 June.
Jonathan Grant Gallery is pleased to present Open Door, a special exhibition drawn from the artist's estate. The exhibition brings together a carefully selected group of paintings that showcase Stevens' wit, imagination and remarkable ability to transform ordinary objects and symbols into visual poetry. Whether depicting boats, ladders, figures or fragments of landscape, each work possesses a sense of mystery, humour and storytelling that is unmistakably his own.
Eion Stevens entrusted four close friends with the stewardship of his estate, authorising the release of no more than twenty-five paintings each year. In accordance with his wishes, the trustees nominate a different charitable beneficiary annually. The net proceeds from this exhibition will support Auckland City Mission.

Jonathan Grant Gallery is delighted to announce the representation of Philip Maxwell.
For over three decades, Maxwell has explored landscape, memory, and human intervention through a refined language of abstraction—distilling the forms and atmosphere of Otago into luminous, contemplative compositions.
We look forward to presenting his work and sharing upcoming exhibitions soon.
