Congratulations to Marco Alpe, Hayden Dickson, and Jack Wright for being selected in the Auckland A training squad.

Vale Bob Pearce. With sadness I report one our former players past away during the week. Bob was a sports reporter at the NZ Herald and was the guy for many years, in games overseas played in our night time, in the pre internet days, put the NZ cricket score in the Herald at absolute deadline in the wee hours so we could all get latest scores in print in the mornings NZ Herald. As a player Bob was a useful right hand batsman and no doubt Bryan Haggitt who played with Bob will do a full obituary. Bob used to regularly come and watch our Premiers at Shore Road so he will be missed. Photo below of Paul Sylvia, Bryan Haggitt, and Bob Pearce at Shore Road watching the cricket.

Tuesday Night we had our 168th AGM. One new Life Member , Phil Horne, who was presented with a special Life Members Badge, nine new Hon Vice Presidents (A big thank you) to Annick Larkin, Gareth McCulloch, Ian West, Mark Tapper, Margaret Voyce, Harry Miller, Greg Bunkall, Geoff MacLeod-Smith, and Flynn McGregor-Sumpter. All were given a miniature bat with Gold Plaque. Three Board members retired, Harry Miller, Greg Bunkall, and Gareth McCulloch. Four new Board members, being Bella Bowkett, Amy Alpe, Paula Gruber, and Jack Dymond and five returning, Jeremy Boucher (Chairman), Greg James (Treasurer), Craig Speakman (Secretary), Dominic Drumm, and Tim Larkin.
Presentation from Javed Ali ACA Community Cricket, and from the Orakei Ōrākei Local Board we had Chair Sarah Powrie, Amanda Lockyer, Scott Milne, and Margaret Voyce. Sarah gave us run down of the massive work both done and to be done to sports fields in our area, with an update on Colin Maiden Park, Shore Road East including a grass block, and Thomas Bloodworth Park again a new grass block with 5 pitches and leveling and drainage. Tremendous. And to cap everything Mandy Callander was represented the Carson Cup as leading Auckland Cricket Administrator . A great night.
