A heartbreaking finish for our Premier Men today, going down 22–20 to the Pakuranga Jaguars in an absolute battle right to the final whistle.

It wasn’t the result we were hoping for, but we couldn’t be prouder of our Eagles. They left everything out on that field today — fighting for one another, for the jersey, and for the club until the very end. Two points may have separated the teams on the scoreboard, but it doesn’t take away from what our boys have achieved this season.

To our players, coaches, management and everyone behind the scenes — thank you for the time, sacrifice, commitment and heart you’ve given this year. Hold your heads high, boys. Sometimes the hardest endings become the fuel for an even stronger return. 🦅💪🏽

To Pakuranga Jaguars, congratulations on a hard-fought win. We wish you all the very best for the Grand Final — go well and represent! 🤝

Our club has a proud history spanning more than a century, and we're on a mission to rebuild and preserve our archives for future generations of Eagles.

We're reaching out to all past players, coaches, managers, volunteers, life members, supporters, and whānau to help us fill in the missing pieces of our history.

We're especially looking for:
📸 Team photos
🏆 Championship and trophy-winning team photos
📰 Newspaper clippings
📖 Programmes, newsletters, and club memorabilia
👥️ Team lists, committee members and life members

In particular, we're searching for information and photos of our championship-winning teams from:
• 1987–1999
• 2000–2011

If you have anything tucked away in an old photo album, scrapbook, garage, or storage box, we'd love to hear from you. Even if you only have one photo or can help identify players in a picture, it could make a huge difference.

Together, we can preserve the legacy of the Ellerslie Eagles and ensure the stories of those who built our club are never forgotten.
