Boys Football Season Wrap-Up ⚽️🥅

What a season for boys football! We are so proud of all our teams for the energy, effort and commitment they have put in throughout the season!

A huge thank you to all of our football coaches and managers for your help this season! We couldn’t have done it without you and truly appreciate all the time and energy you put into your teams. ❤️

Special shoutouts:

🌟 13A — Our 13A team were runners-up in their grade, having been defeated only once by the grade winners! Congrats team!

🌟 6XI — Our 6XI team were UNDEFEATED all season, winning their grade convincingly! Congratulations to all the boys and coaches! 🙌🙌

🌟 1XI Boys Football — Our 1XI Boys Football team had a fantastic season, finishing with a stellar run of games. The boys scored an incredible 21 goals across just three games! An amazing way to finish the season as they look to carry that momentum into the NZSS Premier Boys Football Tournament next week.

We wish them and their coaches the very best of luck! 🤞🥳

🚨 Tournament Week Schedule! 🚨

Starting tomorrow, our teams are heading away to winter tournament week!

Things kick off with our Girls Basketball team playing in the Northern Cup for the first time, from Saturday to Monday in Pukekohe. Joining them in their first tournament week appearances are Badminton in Porirua, and Equestrian in Taupo!

We can't forget about our amazing Football teams competing at Premier Nationals in Taupo and Palmerston North. Netball are at the UNISS Tournament in Hamilton, Girls Hockey in Pakuranga, and the Boys Basketball on the North Shore.

Levi Fenyvesi is also competing at the NZSS Climbing Cup in New Plymouth after a successful season in the AKSS series.

🤿🏑 UNDERWATER HOCKEY | SEASON WRAP-UP 🏑🤿

What an exciting first season for Underwater Hockey at Selwyn College! 💙 We’re so proud of our junior girls, who finished 4th in the College Sport league in what is a brand-new sport for our school. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for this team as we continue to grow! 🌊

And a massive congratulations to Anastasia Prins on receiving the Dave Mason Award! 🏆 This award recognises a junior player that demonstrated the highest level of fair play across the league — an incredible achievement and one to be very proud of! 👏

🏐Netball season recap🏐

That's a wrap for the 2026 Netball season. This year we had 14 teams competing in the Auckland Netball Secondary Schools Competition on Saturday mornings, as well as a senior boys team in the inaugural Monday Boys Competition. Thankfully the weather was friendly to us this season, with very few days of rain!

Our Premier, 10 Mystics and 9 Lightning teams also got the opportunity to play in the annual Combined Points tournament, competing against the best schools in our region.

A big thank you to our coaches, managers and umpires who ensured our teams were ready to go every week, and that our games were officiated fairly and safely. We also had nearly 20 students coaching our local Primary and Intermediate feeder schools this year, you are all amazing!

Good luck to who are heading to the UNISS Netball Tournament next week in Hamilton. Keep an eye on their page for updates throughout the week!

What a season it has been for our Selwyn hockey teams! 🖤🏑

A huge congratulations to our girls, who wrapped up a fantastic season with a hard-fought final against Baradene to finish an impressive 4th in the A Grade. The determination, resilience, and teamwork they showed all season long was something to be proud of.

Congratulations also to our boys, who had an outstanding season, finishing 2nd in their grade after a tough final against Pukekohe High. Their commitment and effort throughout the season has been exceptional.

A special thank you to all of our Year 13 players for your dedication and contribution to Selwyn hockey over the years. You have represented the school with pride, passion, and sportsmanship, and your impact on the programme will be remembered. We wish each of you all the very best for the future and know you’ll go on to achieve great things.
