Join us for Maiden — the incredible true story of Tracy Edwards and the first all-female crew to enter the Whitbread Round the World Race, back in 1989.

They were told it couldn't be done. They did it anyway.

How incredible is it to have a literal Olympian in our midst? ⛵✨

Our very own superhero—who modestly prefers the title "Sailing Coordinator"—Tim Dempsey () has been a cornerstone of our community for over two decades. Alongside the lovely Jan, Tim represented New Zealand at the 2012 London Paralympics!

Tim has a knack for trailblazing. From his own Paralympic campaign to his work as a founding member of the NZ Hansa Class Association, he constantly paves the way for others—and continues to do so every day with Sailability Auckland.

His greatest joy? Simple: getting people out on the water.

Thank you for everything, Tim! We continue to lean on your wisdom, and quite frankly, Sailability Auckland wouldn't be where it is today without you.

This weekend the Sailability Auckland family said a very fond farewell to our head coach and all-round superhero, Finn Drummond, as he sets sail for his next big adventure! ⛵✨

For 7 incredible years, Finn has been the absolute life and soul of our community. He has brought the pure joy of sailing to hundreds of disabled sailors, breaking down barriers and building up confidence with every single session.

Finn, you have earned our utmost respect, gratitude, and admiration. Sailability won’t be quite the same without your infectious energy, but we know you're going to be awesome on whatever stage you step onto next.

Fair winds and following seas, Finn! Have a blast! 💙🌍

Huge Thanks to the Panmure Yacht and Boating Club and the amazing businesses who donated to support us. We had a fantastic fundraising evening on 29 May. Erle Williams and Joey Allen shared some incredible stories from their many adventures and campaigns, they truly are America's Cup and Ocean Race legends. The Auction was a hit thanks to our wonderful Auctioneer. Thank you so much to everyone who bidded on the night, donated product for the auction, kindly donated to us and to everyone involved in organising the night!
