Brief bio:
Heelan has represented NZ at two Olympics - Athens in 2004 and Beijing in 2008 and has also ridden at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen. She is still riding competitively at 2-star level.

Heelan has joined the ESNZ High Performance coaching team, contributing to athlete development pathways. This highlights her transition from primary competitor to influential educator in the sport.

Great opportunity to give eventing a go and build confidence for green riders, returning to riding riders or green horses.
