COUNTIES SPORT FISHING CLUB – WE’RE LOOKING FOR OUR NEW VOLUNTEER SECRETARY!

We’re on the hunt for a volunteer to take on the important role of Club Secretary and join our committee!

This is a vital behind-the-scenes role that helps keep our club running smoothly, so we can keep delivering great competitions, events, and get-togethers for all our members.

What the role involves:
Attend monthly committee meetings
Take and share meeting minutes
Manage club emails and correspondence
Keep official club records and paperwork up to date
Help with general admin and governance tasks

Who we’re looking for:
Organised, reliable, and great at communicating
Comfortable using basic computer tools
Can spare a few hours each month
Passionate about our club and our fishing community!

No prior experience needed - we’ll give you a full handover, plenty of support, and walk you through everything you need to know.

Our current Secretary is stepping down after doing an amazing job, so we’re looking for someone to step in and help carry the club forward - we literally can’t keep running properly without this role filled!

Last week, Lance Davis headed out of Tauranga with a crew, Sean Henson, Mike Weck, and John Rose. After a slow day trolling, the boys switched things up with some night jigging, and it paid off!

All four anglers managed to put a fish on the deck, making for an awesome trip and plenty of smiles all around.

A huge thank you to Tauranga for the courtesy weigh, much appreciated.

To top it all off, Sean shared some of his catch with the team at work, with Jess and Vanessa helping turn it into a delicious meal. Nothing beats fresh fish shared with good people!
