Congratulations to club member Oliver McGuiness and the rest of the Water Polo New Zealand U16 Men's Team who finished off their World Aquatics U16 World Championships campaign with a 12-10 victory over Romania to place 15th overall.

Club member Oliver McGuiness and the rest of the Water Polo New Zealand U16 Men's Team continue their strong form at the World Aquatics U16 World Championships in Croatia.

The team beat Peru 8-11 overnight, and now heads into a crucial last round pool game against Brazil. This game will be streamed at 9:30pm NZT tonight (Thursday) on the World Aquatics Youtube channel.

Best of luck to club members India-Rose Scholes, Zoe Knight and Isabella Lambie who have departed today to compete at the World Aquatics U18 Women’s Water Polo Championships.

Indi, Zoe, Isabella and the rest of the Water Polo New Zealand U18 Women’s Team will head to the BIWPA Water Polo Academy in Barcelona for preparations before making their way to Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, Spain for the World Championships which runs from 16-23rd August.

We will share details of live-streaming once it becomes available.

We wish you and the rest of the team the best of luck for the competition!

U16 Men Open World Aquatics Championships Campaign The New Zealand Men's U16 National Water Polo team is gearing up for the 2026 World Aquatics Men's U16 Water Polo Championships, set to take place from 3rd of August to 9th of August 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia. This prestigious tournament will feature 36 teams from across the globe!

A huge congratulations to Amelia Lafaialii, Jessica Yeoman, Angelina Yang, Emily Rope and India Nathan (Marlborough Water Polo Club) for a fantastic effort at the recent U16 World Aquatics Women’s World Championships.

The team finished up in 8th place overall after with close battle with Australia, eventually going down 8-7.

A great experience and we are so proud of you for representing the club and country at the highest level, you should be very proud of your performances.

WEEKEND TRAINING NOTICE ‼️

There is no training this Saturday, 1st August and Sunday, 2nd August due to the Tim Sonderer Memorial Tournament being held at St Cuthbert’s.

This means there is no training for U12’s U14 Boys & Girls and Water Wolves over these dates.

We wish all teams competing in the tournament the best of luck.

Our weekend training resumes as normal from Saturday, 8th August.

We look forward to another U16 Auckland Water Polo League season!
