It was a well-fought game, with the score staying close for the first two quarters. After halftime, Howick's game strategies paid off, pulling away with the lead that they maintained for the last two quarters.

Two thrilling and well-contested games that, for the majority of the game, were within two points between the teams before Uni Jakal and Huskies pulled away in the second halves to come away with wins in Premier 1 and Premier 2.

Last year's Premier 2 champions, Diocesan Premier, are aiming to defend their title against Howick Premier 2, after the sides played out a tense 30-all draw during round play.

Congratulations to our Club Med Auckland Netball Open's Squad, who travelled to Hamilton on Sunday 16 August to compete in the HCNCe Open Tournament as part of their preparation for the upcoming Netball NZ Open Championship in Hastings this September.

The team produced a strong performance throughout the day against quality opposition, with the following results:

🏐 vs Netball North Harbour, W 29-17
🏐 vs Waitākere, W 28–21
🏐 vs Counties Manukau, W 18–13

This tournament provided valuable game time and preparation as the team continues to build towards their September campaign in Hastings.

In Premier 1, UNI Jakal and College Rifles 1 have each claimed a win in their previous matchups, both decided by the narrowest of margins. Now, the title will be decided in the final showdown.

In Premier 2, Huskies Black has won both previous meetings against Uni Cavs this season. With Uni Cavs entering the final on a winning streak, the stage is set for an exciting contest.

Auckland Netball Centre is saddened to share the passing of Jan Lundon.

Jan was a loyal and long-serving member of Collegiate Netball Club who devoted many years to the sport she loved. As both an Auckland Netball Representative Player and Coach, her commitment, generosity, and passion for netball made a lasting impact on countless players, coaches, and members of the wider netball community.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Jan's whānau, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
