🎾 Congratulations Erwin & Ravi! 🇳🇿

We are delighted to announce that Erwin and Ravi have both been selected for the NZ Seniors 75s team to compete at the World Championships in Crete this October! 🌍🎾

Erwin returns to the team after representing New Zealand last year, while this will be Ravi’s first time competing at the World Championships.

A fantastic achievement for both players! 👏

Congratulations to Erwin on winning the National Veterans Over-75 Doubles Championship, earning him a place at the Veterans World Championships in Croatia.

Competing on clay against a strong international field, Erwin won 3 of his 6 singles matches, a great effort!

Congratulations also to Ravi, who was selected as the non-travelling reserve.

A fantastic achievement!

Just a reminder that our Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 29 June at 7:30pm.

All members are encouraged to attend to show their support and take part in discussions around the future direction and strategy of the club.

Great news! The resurfacing of our top two courts was completed yesterday.

This upgrade was made possible thanks to the support of key funders and our community: Lion Foundation, NZ Community Trust, Bobby Foundation, Constellation Community Trust, and Auckland Council, along with generous donations from our members.

Their combined support helped us get this important project over the line, delivering two high-quality courts that will serve players well for many years to come.

🌟 Wednesday Morning Ladies Sessions 🌟

Our Wednesday morning ladies sessions continue to be well attended, and the coaching hour with Glen has become a valuable and popular part of the week.

We're especially keen to welcome more ladies to come along and join in! Whether you're a mum of one of our junior members, a friend, a relative, or simply looking to get involved, you'll find a warm and friendly atmosphere waiting for you.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Our goal is to grow participation, strengthen our membership, and continue building a vibrant club community.

🎾 Midweek Ladies Update 🎾

The 2025/26 season has wrapped up, with our Castor Bay B1 team finishing 9th on the ladder. While this means we'll compete in B2 next season, we're proud of the effort and commitment shown throughout the year.

It was a season of ups and downs, with injuries, defaults, and player availability challenges, but there was still plenty of enjoyable tennis and some great performances along the way.

A big thank you to Shelley, Helena, Charlotte, Robin, Janene, and Pam, who played the majority of matches, as well as Elaine and Mary-Anne for stepping in when needed.

We're already looking forward to next season!

🎾 End of Summer Season Update from Coach Glen 🎾

That’s a wrap on a fantastic summer of tennis!

A big shoutout to all the awesome juniors who’ve been training and playing in group lessons every day after school — great effort and energy all season long 👏

We’ve still got group lessons available for kids aged 5–19, running weekday afternoons for anyone keen to get started or keep improving.

Looking ahead, Term 2 and Term 3 lessons are a great way to build skills now and hit next summer strong from the front foot 💪

I’m really looking forward to seeing the club continue to grow, and to welcoming more friends and families to get out on court and give tennis a go.
