🌟 Congratulations to our newest Life Member – Daniel Good! 🌟

At this year's AGM, we were incredibly proud to award a Life Membership to Daniel Good in recognition of more than 30 years of outstanding service, achievement and commitment to Tri Star Gymnastics Club as an athlete, representative competitor and in governance.

Daniel's journey began as a young Tri Star gymnast, where he quickly distinguished himself through outstanding performances at club and regional levels. He went on to represent New Zealand on the world stage, competing at Commonwealth Games, World Championships, World Cups, the World Universiade and the Pacific Alliance Championships—a remarkable achievement that reflects years of dedication and excellence.

After retiring from competition, Daniel continued to give back to the sport. Since 2012, he has served as a valued member of the Tri Star Board, contributing strategic insight, leadership and advocacy grounded in his lived experience as a high‑performance athlete. His contribution at governance level has helped support athlete development pathways and strengthen the long‑term direction of the club.

Today, Daniel’s connection to Tri Star Gymnastics Club now spans generations, with two of his children currently members of the club’s competitive programme (as seen in the photo). This further reflects his ongoing commitment to, and belief in, the club and its values.

Daniel's contribution to Tri Star has been exceptional, and we are honoured to welcome him as a Life Member.

Congratulations Daniel, and thank you for everything you have given—and continue to give—to Tri Star Gymnastics Club. 💙🤍

The Commonwealth Games has come to an end for our athletes, and we couldn’t be prouder of them and the way they represented Tri Star. 🇳🇿🤸‍♂️💙

The competition began with some fantastic qualification routines from both our MAG and WAG athletes. Highlights for the Tri Star team included Daniel’s Rings, Alex’s High Bar, William’s Floor and Courtney’s Vault. Misha also put in a strong performance across his two apparatus, showing great fight and determination despite not being able to put together the routines he had hoped for on the day.

Alex, Courtney and Daniel all progressed through to finals, where they once again delivered impressive performances on the international stage.

Our athletes achieved the following notable results:

🤸 Alex — High Bar Final: 8th
🤸 Courtney — All Around Final: 15th | Vault Final: 5th
🤸 Daniel — All Around Final: 12th | Rings Final: 7th
🤸 William — Floor (Qualifying): 9th

Congratulations to our athletes on an incredible achievement. We hope you’ve enjoyed every moment of this experience. You have represented Tri Star and worn the fern proudly 🌿

Well done team! 💙

What a night for our MAG Commonwealth Games team!

The boys put in a massive shift overnight and did themselves, the club, and the country proud. Some huge performances, plenty of hit routines, and some awesome results!

Qualifications may be done, but there’s still more to come:

💪 Daniel Stoddart – All Around (overnight Sunday) & Rings (overnight Monday)
💪 Alex Istock – High Bar (overnight Tuesday)

Up next, Courtney and the WAG team kick off their campaign tonight, with qualifications starting at 9pm NZ time.

Let’s get behind Team NZ and keep the momentum rolling!

A huge congratulations to Oscar and Eras for their recent accomplishments at the Australian National champs!🤩

Eras had great results over the weekend where he competed in DMT. He came 2nd 🥈 in the 17-21 Men’s DMT division and was selected as the male DMT athlete in the Team All Around comp (1 male and female for tramp, dmt and tum) where the NZ team came 3rd!🥉

Congratulations also to Oscar, on an incredible achievement, proudly representing New Zealand for the very first time! Competing in your debut international event is a milestone that reflects your hard work and dedication. We are so proud to see you wearing the silver fern and representing both Tri Star and New Zealand with pride. Congratulations on this special achievement!👏
