The 2026 Winter Coaching Programme is open to bowlers and players with 0–5 years of experience.

Over six to seven weeks, you'll develop your skills, confidence, tactical awareness, and understanding of the game in a fun, supportive environment.

📍 Five Auckland zones

Attend the programme and become eligible to represent your zone at the Campi Cup, Canoe Trophy, or ABCA Cup tournaments.

We had an awesome Family Roll Up Day at New Lynn Bowling Club yesterday, alongside the Shade Systems NZ Champ of Champs Mixed Pairs.

A GOLDEN FINISH TO THE SHADE SYSTEMS CHAMP OF CHAMPS MIXED PAIRS
The 2026 Shade Systems Champ of Champs Series has come to a thrilling conclusion, with Davey Motu & Aggie Motu (Auckland BC) crowned the new Mixed Pairs Champions after a hard-fought 15–11 victory over the outstanding Glen Eden duo of Mohe Tausinga & Margarita Kelly.

Huge congrats to the Motus on claiming another Mixed Pairs title together, with a special shout-out to Davey on earning his Gold Star. Well done also to the deserving runners-up for a fantastic final.

A special thank you to Shade Systems NZ, our host clubs, volunteers, officials, supporters, and every club champion who made this year's series such a success.

The stage is set for the final.

Davey Motu & Aggie Motu (Auckland Bowling Club) have earned their place in the decider after a competitive16–8 victory over the Howick duo. They’ll now face Glen Eden Bowling Club's Mohe Tausinga & Margarita Kelly, who booked their spot with an impressive 21–8 win over Carlton Cornwall.

Congratulations to all four finalists on their performance, and best of luck as they battle it out for the centre title!

During the week, we were lucky enough to present at Tuia Waitākere HAL (Healthy Active Learning) workshop for teachers in West Auckland.

It’s all about introducing our tamariki and rangatahi to the wonderful world of bowls.
