Why we deload 🧠

Deload week isn’t taking a step back, it’s setting up the next step forward.

The purpose is to allow for your overall stress levels to lower following a period of intense training.

Having spent weeks increasing weights and intensity during sessions, your body can’t continue to push.

This is why planned deloads are beneficial, reducing the risk of injury and burnout, resulting in more training completed in the long run and better progress over time.
