If anyone can help out, Tauranga Judo Club is raising money towards Kevin Kavanagh's cancer treatment. Any dollar helps.

Late post, but big shoutout to the other group of Tahitians from Punaauia JUDO Jujitsu Tahiti as well as Kapiti Judo Club for coming by last Friday before the AIO!

Good to have some more Tahitian visitors over staying back for another session after the AIO!

Results from day 2 of the Auckland International Open.
-Tank and Kimura - Gold and Silver for Goshin Jutsu no Kata (they entered at both uke and tori)
-Mateo and Tank - 4th in Nage no Kata
-Kareem - silver medal in his first ever competition in the Senior Boys U45 category.

-Mateo Veterans 30-39 U73 Silver
-Kimura Veterans 50-59 U73 Silver
-Stu Veterans 50-59 U100 + Open Golds
-Cigano Veterans 30-39 U100 Silver

2026 AGM

To the Members of Auckland University Judo Club

On Wednesday 29 July at 7.30pm we will have the 2026 Annual General Meeting (training will finish at 7.25pm to facilitate this).

Please do attend - it is important that members understand how the club has operated over the last 12 months, and has input into who is running the club over the coming 12 months.

Members must give notice of any proposed motions and other items of business to the Club at least 5 days before the date of the AGM (please get these to James at [email protected]).

In addition, there will be a heap of pizza to be shared : )

Rob Levy was lucky enough to join Tauranga Judo Club for weekend training… hosted by Kevin Kavanagh; Olympians Shaun O’Leary and Steve Corkin were also on the mat - along with Allard Mitchell (from Japan Masters Tours) and Murray Lin (student member of Uni Judo in the 1990’s) + Chanel Kavanagh CWG 2014.
