THIS IS WHY WE DO IT 🥹
From a Mum in our Women’s team chat to give our ladies inspiration and let me share 🩷
🖤❤️🤍
As above! What a good training it was last night , while being injured & still wanted to play the sport I love watching lol TBH, I didn't know how to play rugby physically but know the game game structure when not playing 😅
The whole entire reason in honesty to why I chose to finally play was to support my big girl B, who loves the sport with a passion! Played since she was in primary, she does have anxiety issues & social interaction was never her thing, it was so bad that she would cry, but shes come a long way from that till now and playing club was the biggest fear she had! I know there are times when she plays she looks like she doesn't want to play but in all honesty it is her anxiety kicking in & as her mum, I help calm her nerves but getting in there to whisper in to her ears to let her know that everything is gonna be OK, just let mum get all the beating 😭🤣
You are all driving engines that have bought back a womens team to Rovers, after so many years each and every one of you have sacrificed family time, work commitments, social events etc.. to bring womens rugby back to life at Rovers, the heart of Mangere! BE PROUD LADIES, STAND TALL, SUPPORT YOUR SISTERS, HEAD HIGH & PLAY FOR THOSE SACRIFICES!!
Please ladies, this maybe our only game left, so lets keep the comms up for the weekend 🙏
On repeat, Communication is key 😊
ROVERS UP!
