BANKIER ROSEBOWL TEAM ANNOUCED!!

Auckland is happy to announce the Bankier Rosebowl Team selected to travel down to Te Awamutu to compete on 25th-26th July in our attempt to defend the title we won last year in Waihi Beach

This fixture is played against Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Thames Valley, North Taranaki and King Country

Well done to all selected!!

AUCKLAND JUNIOR SINGLES

Last weekend running alongside the zone finals held at Western Hall, Portage Road, New Lynn we held our Auckland Junior Singles Championship for 2026.

In the final Amelia Brzozowski faced Jiraiya Hill where Amelia came out victorious and took out the Auckland Junior Singles out for the first time and booked herself a trip to Hamilton to compete in the NZ junior singles later in the year!

Jiraiya Hill coming second also qualified to be able to go down to Hamilton to compete in the same event as Amelia.

Well done you two you guys will do great!

Also well done to all juniors who participated in this event and we hope to see all of you again next year and in other centre events!!

Top 8 Quadrangular Squad Announced!

Auckland is happy to announce the selection of the Top 8 Quad Squad to compete in Northland on July 18-19th.
This team will help to decide the ultimate team to compete in the interprovincial later in the year.

AUCKLAND VICTORIOUS IN LANCASTER TROPHY!!!

Auckland has won the Lancaster trophy this weekend at the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club. This is the first time since 2010 we have won this rep fixture which is often regarded as one of the hardest top 16 rep fixtures to win.

Auckland’s road to victory came via Centre wins against Waikato, North Harbour, Counties and Tauranga.

Thames Valley stood in our way with the last game of the tournament requiring us to win the fours against Thames valley in order to draw our match against them to win the Lancaster outright and fortunately we were able to pull through at the end. With Auckland finishing on 4.5 center wins.

2nd: Tauranga
3rd: Waikato
4th Thames Valley
5th Counties
6th: North Harbour

The top scorers for the event were Marilyn Baskiville, Nathan Trowell and Carol Wright with 11.5 wins out of 15 matches.

SINGLE ENTRY TRIPLES!!

On the 11th of July Auckland will be hosting our single entry triples. All players wishing to play will just need to submit their single entry which will be drawn out a bucket on the day to create the teams for the event.

This has been one of our most enjoyable events of the year and is a great way to play with new people as well as being able to compete for a Auckland Championship

CALLING ALL 1-5 YEAR PLAYERS

A reminder that on the 4th and 5th of July we are hosting the 1-5 year singles and pairs. Winners of these events will go on to represent Zone one in the NZ Finals at Pukekohe during Super Weekend later in the year.

Players need to have been affiliated members for less than 5 years to any NZIB club and be a member of zone 1 to be able to compete
