This is a notification that Massey Athletic Club will be holding our AGM on Tuesday 15 September from 7.30-9.00pm at the Clubrooms. Have some fresh ideas for the club? Keen to contribute? Anyone who is interested or keen is welcome to attend.

Welcome to all the new people who have been joined our page community. Its great to see you here.

As a summer sport, Athletics takes a break over the winter, but soon we will start getting ready for our 2026-2027 season. You’ll start seeing some posts for us in September when we open registrations. This year we will have some exciting new things happening we look forward to announcing, but for now we’ll be dropping some occasional little messages to stay in touch.

Good evening to all our MAC whanau, a reminder that Prize giving is tomorrow.

Emails have been sent to athletes in the running for the prize giving awards (please make sure to check your SPAM folder). Even if you have not received an award, you may still be in the top house - there could still be some wins on the line.

A special congratulations to all our athletes this year, from breaking club records to smashing your own PBs, it's been a year of achievements, and we are proud of you. And we hope to see you there to celebrate tomorrow.

A reminder that our PrizeGiving will be happening at 10am this Saturday.

The forecast for Saturday seems to be OK, but if there is rain we will be meeting upstairs. Otherwise, if fine we’ll be holding it outside behind the Clubrooms.

Please meet at the Club before 10am, as we will start at 10am. We should be finished around midday.

Just a reminder to all parents that last week was the last Club Night for our 2025-2026 season. There will be no Club Night on tonight.

Our prizegiving has been scheduled for March 28th at 10am, and we’d love to see you there. A post will be coming out about this soon.

And please do remember to keep an eye on the socials and the App, as registrations for our 2026-2027 season will be opening in September / October. Until then, we hope the kids have a great season of winter sports, and we’ll see you again in time for Summer!

Sorry everyone - there has been an error with a Story post that went out tonight on Facebook and Instagram. It was meant to run tomorrow night but a mistake in the scheduling has meant it ran tonight. Our Final Athletics Club Night is Monday night.

A very special thank you to everyone who came out today for our Club Champs. The weather played ball and it was a great day with great participation from all of our athletes. We saw one club record broken and a several others got very close. A very special thank you to all of the amazing parents who helped out today, we would not have got through the day without your help and we truly appreciate it.

Two more club nights to go for this season, and we will announce our prizegiving date soon. Meanwhile, Have a great rest of your weekend, and see you Monday.

Club Champs is this Saturday, starting at 9am.
If you have registered your child for Saturday, you will be receiving the programme details soon.

Please remember:
• Remember plenty of water, sunscreen and hats for your kids. The forecast is looking hot, so you can bring sun umbrellas and sun shades / tents, etc for your whanau.
• Kids must wear their MAC uniforms (unless you have an exemption).
• Block one starts at 9am, if your child is competing in this block, please be there for 9am.
• Each block should be between 20-30 minutes
• When an event starts, late athletes get 3 calls to check in at the marshalling or event zone. If they don’t show, they will be scratched from the event
• Events may be shifted to speed up the day, please listen carefully to updates.
• We will need help with some events - parents, please be available.
• Unfortunately, there will be no BBQ or shop on the day.

A final reminder that today is the last day for signing up to Club Champs, which kicks off at 9am this coming Saturday.

Also, any athletes who selected to run a 1500m as a part of the club champs selection, this will be run tonight after our regular activities end.
