🔥 Battle of the Bridge 2026 did NOT disappoint! 🔥
From clutch putts to big moments under pressure, this year’s showdown at Akarana Golf Club had everything.
Auckland dominated the Men’s divisions with a clean sweep, while our Women delivered strong wins in Senior and Masters and a gritty Junior tie.
That effort across the board means Auckland keeps both overall titles for another year!
A massive thank you to Harbour Golf for bringing the challenge, and a big shout‑out to the Akarana crew for hosting us on a beautifully presented course.

🏆 Battle of the Bridge 2026 🏆
Another awesome Battle of the Bridge is in the books, showcasing the best of representative golf, sportsmanship, and camaraderie between Auckland and Harbour Golf .
Auckland's Men completed a clean sweep, claiming victories in the Junior, Senior, and Masters divisions. Our Women also put in a tremendous performance, with wins in the Senior and Masters matches, while the Juniors battled hard to earn a tie.
The results were enough to see Auckland retain both the Men's and Women's overall titles on home soil at Akarana Golf Club.
A huge thank you to all North Harbour players, managers, and staff for another memorable contest, and to the team at Akarana Golf Club – including the staff, greenskeepers, and caterers – for their outstanding hospitality and presentation of the course.
In 2027, we head across the bridge to defend our titles. 💙⛳

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Auckland Golf Life Member, Judy Hayhow.
A Life Member since 2014, Judy dedicated more than two decades to growing junior girls’ golf across our region. From launching “Judy’s Fun Day” to supporting our junior teams around the country, her impact was lasting and widely felt. She remained an active member of the Women’s Committee through to 2025 and was recognised that same year for her 10-year contribution as a Life Member.
At the 2025 AGM, Judy shared that Life Membership of Auckland Golf was one of her proudest moments — a reflection of the genuine care she had for the game and its people.
Judy will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the opportunities she created for so many young golfers.

This year Auckland Golf held it's AGM in conjunction with pennant Finals Day. Held at Pukekohe Golf Club and proudly supported by Winger Motors, this was a standout occasion celebrating the success and achievements of Auckland Golf in 2025.
The finals were played in great spirit, delivering high-quality, competitive golf that was fitting for a finals stage and a strong reflection of the depth of the game across our region.
We would like to acknowledge the contribution of Keith Murray and Dave MacKay, who both concluded their tenure on the Board this year. Their time, experience, and commitment have been greatly appreciated. At the same time, we welcome new elected board member Charles Wilkie and look forward to his involvement in the years ahead.
Finals Day also provided the platform to help launch the EV quiz encouraging members across the motu to engage with sustainability and enter the draw to win some incredible prizes https://aucklandclimateaction.nz/in-your-neighbourhood/golf-quiz/
