Battle of the Bays 2026 🏆
What an awesome day of tennis at Campbells Bay! Great weather, great atmosphere, and plenty of fun on court.
A huge thank you to everyone from Mairangi Bay Tennis Club for coming along and making it another fantastic Battle of the Bays!
Campbells Bay won this year's battle, so the trophy will be staying with us for another year! The overall Battle of the Bays record is now 2-2.
A massive shout-out to Hristo for the amazing work on the Campbells Bay app. It looked fantastic and made the day run so smoothly, with all the scores entered and updated throughout the event. Brilliant!
Thanks also to Josh for captaining our team, and to everyone who played, supported, and helped make the day such a success!

LET'S KEEP CAMPBELLS BAY A GREAT PLACE TO PLAY! 🎾
We love seeing our courts busy and full of activity, and it's fantastic to see so many juniors getting involved in tennis!
To help keep Campbells Bay Tennis Club a fun, friendly and enjoyable place for everyone, here are a few gentle reminders:
RESPECT OTHER PLAYERS AND THEIR GAMES
• Please don't cross a court while a point is in play.
• Try to keep distractions to a minimum. This means keeping shouting and loud celebrations to a reasonable level and leaving the music at home.
The main idea is simple: don’t get in the way of other people’s matches or practice sessions so everyone can enjoy their game.
THE COURTS ARE FOR TENNIS
As tempting as it may be, our courts aren't a dog park, cycle track or roller-skating rink!
Please keep pets, bikes, scooters, roller skates and similar activities off the courts so everyone can enjoy safe and uninterrupted tennis.
LEAVING THE CLUBHOUSE?
If you're the last person there, please make sure the clubhouse is locked before you leave. And yes… that includes the small side door next to the kitchen area! 😊 A quick double-check goes a long way.
SUPPORTING OUR YOUNG PLAYERS
It's wonderful to see more juniors playing at the club. Many of them are still learning court etiquette and club rules, and sometimes they need a little guidance.
If you notice something that isn't quite right or think something could be improved, please avoid speaking directly to young players. Instead, let their supervising adult know (a parent, coach or interclub manager). If no adult is around, please let the committee know.
We're all here because we love tennis and our club community 💙
Let's continue to make Campbells Bay Tennis Club a friendly, welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone - on and off the court!

What a great evening at Albany Tennis Park for the Tennis Northern Annual Prize Ceremony!
It was really nice to see everyone come together to celebrate a great year of tennis and community achievements. Campbells Bay Tennis Club was proud to bring home a number of awards 🥳
🏆 A big highlight of the night was the Chelsea Cup, won by our amazing Harcourts Cooper and Co Men’s Team for the 5th year in a row! The trophy will once again have pride of place in our CBTC awards cabinet.
🏆 We’re also very proud of Liam Youn, who was named Junior Boy Player of the Year! Congratulations Liam - your hard work really shows, and we’re excited to see what’s next for you!
🏆 A special mention goes to our Community Impact Award, recognising the fantastic contribution of our members - especially our Midweek Ladies, who always support club life and do so much through fundraising and community initiatives. We really appreciate everything you do!
🏆 Campbells Bay also received the Digital Engagement Award, recognising how active and connected our club community is. It’s always great to see so much happening on our page - sharing updates, events, and club moments together.
🏆 Congratulations as well to our coach Andrew Watts, who was a finalist for Coach of the Year. Thank you Andrew for everything you’ve done for our juniors, beginner interclub teams, and the wider club - all the best for what’s next!
🏆 A special shout-out to our wonderful Annette Haywood, finalist for Volunteer of the Year. Annette, thank you for all your time, energy, and positivity - from helping at events to supporting players and everything in between. Volunteers like you are what makes CBTC so strong.
We also celebrate the following team and individual successes:
🥇Weimin Weng - Men’s Box Singles Competition Grade 5 winner
🥇Winter Saturday Mixed Doubles Team - Grade 5 winners
🥇Fab 4 Saturday Women’s Doubles Team - Grade winners
What an amazing year for Campbells Bay Tennis Club - thank you to everyone who contributes to making our club such a special community!
