The World Tennis Number (WTN) is the global rating system that measures a playerโ€™s current ability based on their match results, making it easier to find and compete against players of a similar level. This is the ranking system that is now used for competitive tennis across NZ.

WTN has recently announced several changes designed to improve the system and the experience for players.

It was great to see the hard work pay off for George Cropp! George had an incredibly close battle with Jai in the final. These two also compete for who spends the most time practicing at the club each week. It is awesome to see that dedication and extra time on court directly paying off on tournament day.

Fantastic effort from everyone involved, and we look forward to seeing you all at the next event!

Congratulations to one of our promising Juniors - Jai Kumar, who has been invited to a Tennis NZ training camp this weekend for the best U12's in the North Island.

Good luck Jai! ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ‘Š

Very happy for Jai, who has earned an invite to the Tennis NZ 11 & Under National Training Camp this weekend!

Jaiโ€™s internal motivation is impressive, to say the least. He often arrives at the club 2+ hours before his lesson starts to hit against the wall, practice his serve, or play with our younger juniors (including helping his sisters who are promising tennis players too!). Heโ€™ll even challenge the seniors to a hit!

Out of all our club members, Jai is clocking the most hours on court at Whangaparaoa Tennis Club. He is always willing to explore new techniques and tactics, and everyone at Court Lab is excited to see what the future holds for him.

Hard work pays off! ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ‘
