🏆 Gallaher Shield Final

Congratulations to Sam Adam who has been appointed to referee the Gallaher Shield final, assisted by Rob Harman and Allen Keyte on the sideline!

This is a great reward for the hard work all three of them have put in over the 2026 club season

The game is held at Eden Park on Saturday @ 3pm and is free to enter. It would be great to see as many members along as possible 🙏

🔵 Promotion! ⚪

Last night we had the privilege of promoting Benji Fourie and Jako Strydom!

🟣 Jako joined the ARRA a couple of years ago and has rapidly risen through our high school grades and now into club rugby. He had an awesome opportunity to go on exchange to Bay of Plenty this year! It's great to see you make the step up to C panel, Jako!

🟣 Benji joined us last year from South Africa, and instantly turned heads with the way he refereed. This year Benji was challenged by some of our top club grades, and was rewarded with a U21 semi-final and the U19 final this weekend. Congratulations on making the step up to B panel, Benji!

We're running our final Associate Referee Course on the 15th of July - this is your last chance for 2026!

⭐ Referee Spotlight - Peter “Flo” Florence ⭐

Meet Peter Florence, or Flo as he’s known to many of us. Flo has been a dedicated coach within ARRA for over 10 years and continues to play a huge role as our current B Panel facilitator.

Flo’s commitment goes well beyond Auckland too. His favourite place is Dubai, and he makes it a mission to get to the Dubai 7s each year, often accompanying a group of ARRA members along for what is always an unforgettable experience.

You’ll find Flo at just about every meeting, always ready to share his knowledge, and out on Saturdays making sure his B Panel referees are supported and looked after.
