How has the year been so far for you?
Have you achieved what you wanted?
Have you spent enough time with the people that are special to you or doing the things you love?

At mid-year it’s a good time to reflect on what you started out to achieve at the beginning of the year and where you’ve got to.

No shaming yourself though! If you're feeling good about the year so far congratulate yourself.

If you feel you’ve been a bit slow or things have gone off the rails that’s okay. There is still another 6 months of the year to go yet.

There’s no shame in starting again or adjusting your direction.

Do make a choice though, what would you like to focus on for the rest of the year? What will give you the greatest pleasure?

I’m not talking about gratification, but what would make you smile most days if you were doing it or being it?

Winter is the time to reflect to slow down and rest. Make the time. Choose and act.

That 2am mind that won't switch off.

Celebration!
I was very proud this weekend to be the Celebrant for my nephews wedding in Porvoo, Finland. (The official bit gets done by a government official.)
Weddings are so joyful, full of love and hope. It reminds us to live well, to focus everyday on what we have not what we don’t and that life is just about love really. 🥰

Doing the Work is worth it!
In my 20’s I was in London and had lots of fears that got in the way. I did the work and having uncovered the patterns that stopped me from living life well, I feel so proud I can now teach others what I’ve learned. That bone-tired feeling? The one you've been calling busy, or stressed, or just-how-life-is-right-now?

It might actually be winter. Asking you to slow down. Same as it asks the trees, the soil, everything around us.

But most of us don't listen. We keep pushing because we believe rest is something we have to earn first, and winter's just an inconvenience getting in the way of our to-do list.

Here's the thing: ignore the signs long enough, and your body doesn't stay quiet about it.

It gets louder.

So here's a check in - when did you last actually stop?

Not scroll-on-the-couch stop.

But properly rest?

This is the release work that will actually get you ahead without burning out - letting go of the belief that slowing down means falling behind.
