Big thanks to everyone who put together the TA2 New Zealand Prizegiving last night. It was awesome to catch up with everyone and celebrate another season done and dusted.
The team came away with a pretty good haul:
🏆 P2 Overall in the Masters-Car61
🏆 Rookie Masters Winner – Car 61
🏆 Hard Charger Award – Car 38
Pretty stoked with that!
A huge thanks to all our crew, family, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who’s helped out throughout the season. None of this happens without a lot of people pitching in behind the scenes.
Now the cars can have a well-earned rest while we figure out where to put a few more trophies. 😆🏁
Bring on next season!

What a season!
With the 2025/26 TA2 NZ Championship now in the books, competitors and teams came together for prize-giving to celebrate the achievements and stories that helped make the season one to remember — and to hand out some well-earned silverware.
At the top of the Championship standings, it was Caleb Byers who claimed the title, capping a remarkable rookie campaign by also securing the Championship Rookie Award. Dylan Grant finished the season second overall, while Toby Elmiger completed the Championship podium in third.
In the Masters Championship, Peter Ward took top honours ahead of Karl Gaines in second and Elton Wichman in third. Gaines also collected the Masters Rookie Award for his efforts throughout the season.
There was plenty more to celebrate beyond the championship trophies. Tristan Roper was presented with the Ashley Stichbury Memorial Trophy, while Lance Gerlach received the Lyndsay Reid Trophy. Jamie McDonald was recognised as the Most Improved Driver, Pitcher took home the Best Presented Team Award, and Peter Ward was also the recipient of the Hard Luck Award.
Congratulations to all of our award winners and thank you to every driver, team, sponsor, volunteer and supporter who contributed to help make the 2025/26 TA2 NZ season such a success. Your passion and commitment continue to make TA2 NZ one of the country’s most exciting racing categories, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on track next season.
