Our heartfelt condolences to Mabel and the entire Todd family on the passing of Randal.
Randal's contribution to junior cricket extended far beyond the boundaries of the field. Through his passion and dedication to the game, he inspired countless young cricketers, coaches, and families.
The cricket community has lost a wonderful coach and mentor. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the values he instilled in those fortunate enough to know him.
Rest in peace, Randal. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
– From everyone at Eden Roskill District Cricket Club
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that Western District School Children’s Cricket acknowledges the passing of our Elite Coach, Randal Todd.
For many years, Randal was far more than an outstanding coach—he was a trusted mentor, a valued friend, and a guiding influence to countless players, parents, and fellow coaches. His passion for cricket, exceptional knowledge of the game, and unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent touched the lives of so many. The generosity with which he shared his time, wisdom, and encouragement leaves a legacy that will continue to be felt throughout district cricket and the wider cricket community for years to come.
Randal was also a source of inspiration to our younger coaches and a passionate advocate for the growth of the game through its young players. He devoted countless hours to ensuring every child was given the opportunity to learn, improve, and experience the joy of cricket. With patience, kindness, and genuine care, he always placed the development and wellbeing of his players at the heart of everything he did.
Through cricket, Randal formed lifelong friendships and earned the admiration and respect of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His impact reached far beyond the cricket field. He helped shape not only skilled cricketers, but confident, respectful, and resilient young people, leaving an enduring mark on the lives of those he guided.
On behalf of everyone at Western District School Children’s Cricket, we extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to his wife, Mabel, and to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with them as they mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man.
Randal will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever appreciated for the difference he made to so many lives. Thank you, Randal, for your extraordinary service to cricket and for the kindness, dedication, and passion you shared so freely.
Rest in peace, Randal.
