Always great to spend some time at FMR - Ferg Maynes Racing HQ for some tea, biscuits and Motorcycles!
Xavier’s Hyosungs are coming along nicely, very excited to see how his first races go at the Auckland Motorcycle Club series round 1 in September.
Waking Pinky up for the upcoming HD Moto Trackday at Hampton Downs 🏁 this Sunday.
Rain or shine, we’re well equiped with Bridgestone Moto NZ V02 Slicks and W01 wets.
We’ve got a small test programme organised for both wet and dry conditions, meaning we’ll get some useful butt in seat time regardless of conditions.

Back at Hampton downs for another trackday! Super excited for some more butt in seat time, track is currently 2 degrees, so we’re hoping for some sunlight!

Day off work means a day riding and working on the bikes. 😁
Always like to start a day with clear skies by taking the SP-1 out for a small run, always love riding that bike.
Back to the garage:
Pinky is getting a general check over plus some fresh fluids and filters.
Xavier’s Hyosung (yet to be named) is getting some final prep work done plus a fresh coat of paint, should be looking amazing for the upcoming season of racing!
Both bikes should hopefully be out at the next few trackdays at Hampton Downs for some testing and butt in seat time!

First half of complete, and a pretty decent trophy haul! To be honest, given I was on a SS300 in round 1, a Pro Twin in round 2 and a Sportbike in round 3, I wasn’t expecting a single top 3 overall in any class, let alone 3!!!
Super stoked with the event and organisation that’s gone on behind the scenes to make this cup happen, really excited to continue with the second half of the North Island Cup at AMCC round 1 in September!
