A recent track ride arranged by Atomic EV is great example of the multi-user groups taking advantage of the Sir Colin Giltrap Raceway. 22 riders turned up to try their skills on the purpose built race track.

Andrew Ensor from Atomic EV said that feedback from participants was incredibly positive with everyone keen to repeat the exercise in the near future. It was noted that having exclusive access to a facility like this was uncommon and that future events would likely attract significantly more people.

Contact us if you have a sport group that is interested in seeing how Sir Colin Giltrap raceway can help your team.

Thanks Andrew for the great photos - we look forward to seeing you back here soon.

A change of pace as the Auckland Youth Triathlon Academy utilised the Sir Colin Giltrap Raceway recently as a training venue.

A trial run of 8 academy kids put themselves and the facilities to the test. The feedback was overwhelming with promises to come back with even more athletes - testament to the facilities multisport design.

Academy representative Scott Taylor commented that the kids were very excited and had an absolute ball at what he described as, "an amazing facility".

It is feedback like this that makes us even more thrilled to be able to provide a much needed facility for Auckland.

The recently held Auckland Area Schools Championship is another example of how the Sir Colin Giltrap Raceway at Colin Dale Park is being used. Children from across Auckland converged recently to fund out not only who were going to be the schools champions but also which school was going to be champion.

Without the incredible support of Auckland Council, Sir Colin Giltrap Raceway would not exist.

Trust member Anita Kinsman and Auckland councillor Martin Devoy talk about the broader plans for the faciliity outside of KartSport

It’s fantastic to see the Auckland Radio Control Car Club (ARCCC) officially opening its new facility at Colin Dale Park.

The addition of another motorsport-related venue is an exciting development for the park and the wider community, providing a dedicated space for enthusiasts of all ages to enjoy, learn, compete, and connect.

We look forward to seeing the club grow and thrive, bringing more activity, energy, and opportunities to Colin Dale Park. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this project a reality, and best wishes for a successful future.

Welcome to the neighbourhood, ARCCC!

KartSport Auckland-Mt Wellington Academy: A Big Weekend of Learning On and Off the Track 05/06/2026

KartSport New Zealand Academy sessions hosted recently at Sir Colin Giltrap Raceway combined a hands-on technical workshop on Saturday with on-track coaching and support at Sunday’s club day—helping drivers, parents, mechanics, and officials build confidence and capability.

We would like to give our sincere thanks for the support in funding to both Wiri Licencing Trust and Trillian Trust

Without their generous and ongoing support initiatives like this would not be possible
