I haven't made many drums lately.
So decided to craft a lovely Heart Rimu snare over the last week.
The shell is Rimu inner and outer veneers over a 5mm Northern Cypress core and Kahikatea rerings which makes this a unique NZ snare....
The batter bearing edge is a 5mm outer round over with a 30 degree back cut and the resonant edge is a 2.5mm outer round with a 30 degree back cut ....
10 tube lugs and fittings are by Percussion Accessories
I also added a Ludwig tone / damper control ...
