10 years of the Richmond Rovers Homework Centre 💙📚

What started as a simple idea has become so much more than a place to do homework.

For the past decade, our Homework Centre has provided a safe, supportive space where our rangatahi can learn, grow, build confidence and know that someone believes in them. It’s a place where education is encouraged, friendships are formed, and every young person is reminded that they are capable of achieving great things.

At Richmond Rovers, we believe rugby league is the vehicle that brings us together, but it’s the people who are at the heart of everything we do. While we’re proud of the players we develop on the field, we’re even prouder of the young people we’re helping shape off it

Education and sport go hand in hand. Sport teaches resilience, discipline and teamwork, while education creates opportunities and opens doors for the future. Together, they help build confident, respectful and successful young people.

Today, we were honoured to celebrate this milestone alongside the Auckland Rugby League, who came to learn more about the impact our Homework Centre has had over the past 10 years.

To every volunteer, sponsor, supporter, parent and student who has been part of this journey, we thank you!! Your time, commitment and belief in our young people have made this programme what it is today.

Here’s to the next 10 years of being more than just a rugby league club. Here’s to continuing to invest in our people, strengthen our community, and give every young person the opportunity to thrive 🐶🌹

Special mention to Liz Ah Kuoi, Peter Fell, Rangi Fiu, Sofia Afoa, Maraea Ah Kuoi Atmore, Khailee Williams, Khloe Kaiser, Harlym Iefata, Dee Tuitama, Shyloe Teariki, Amy Ah Kuoi Bernard & Rose Iefata for your service over the years 💙❤️
