We are back for Round 2 of the at Kartsport Bay of Plenty

With not racing here since i was in the Cadet class i am looking forward to being back on track here

Round 1 of the Top Half Series at KartSport Tokoroa is done and dusted! 🏁

It had been two years since we last raced at Tokoroa, but we were excited to get back and take on a strong field of 20 Rotax Juniors.

The weekend threw absolutely everything at us weather-wise. We had rain, sunshine, and even a massive frost to start the day on Sunday. Saturday’s conditions were especially challenging, with a wet track drying incredibly quickly and turning a set of wet tyres into slicks in no time at all!

The Top Half Series random grid draws always make for some exciting racing, and this weekend was no different. There were plenty of great battles throughout the heats, with lots of passing and close racing from start to finish.

We’re happy to come away sitting 🥉 in the championship points after the opening round and have a solid foundation to build on for the rest of the series.

It was also awesome to have Toyota GR Racing on site throughout the weekend with their Toyota 86 race car on display. It was pretty cool to get up close to the car, especially knowing that the overall winner of the Top Half Series will earn a session behind the wheel at Hampton Downs. That’s certainly some extra motivation for the rounds ahead! 🔥🏎️

This weekend we head to the South Waikato for Round 1 of the Top Half Series at Kartsport Tokoroa 🌲

Its been a couple of years since i have raced the track but eyes forward for the weekend

The weather is looking average which makes me appreciate everyone involved so much more

2026 KartSport Auckland Schools Karting Champs
Great to be back at Sir Colin Giltrap Raceway representing my school St Ignatius of Loyola Catholic College
I qualified 2nd out of 21 in the class and in heat 1 i set a new track record!
A tangle in heat 1 put me towards the back in the pre final and final but my Hart kart was an absolute rocket and i finished the final 4th and beat the previous track record that i broke in Heat 1
Massive thanks to Shaun Jamieson for helping me out on Saturday and of course Josh Hart
I was also lucky enough to have my mates Josh Browne,Lukas Smith,Riley Neves and Keiano coming out to watch me race

On Sunday i will be racing at KartSport Auckland in the Auckland Area Schools Karting champs

This will be just my 2nd race at the new Auckland track and i am proud to represent my school St Ignatius of Loyola Catholic College
