We run a variety of alpine, climbing & other trips as well as instruction courses in both snowcraft and rock climbing throughout the year and new members are always welcome. We have hire gear available for members and also look after the Ruapehu hut in the Tongariro National Park which provides a base for climbing, ski-touring or just getting away from the city. The community is working on building a relationship with DOC and Tapuika iwi to better understand their views and concerns and talk about the future of climbing at this site. ACAT and the Rotorua Climbing Club are supporting this process by facilitating dialogue and providing expertise.
Please adhere to our crag behaviour guide when visiting the crag, and do not install any new fixed hardware.
