Exchanges between Wakatere Boating Club and Club de Vela La Ballena Alegre took centre stage at yesterday’s IQFoil Youth & Junior Worlds prizegiving, formally opening a sister‑club relationship built on youth sailing, sustainability, community, friendship, and the shared experiences that shape both clubs.

A huge thank‑you to the IQ sailors Finn & Josh & coach Thomas Crook representing Wakatere in Spain, and to the personal connections forged behind the scenes during the America’s Cup that have made this possible. This strengthens our global links and opens new pathways for our young sailors 🙌
