A shrub, growing on the side of the Himalayas. An unassuming flower- unaware of it's endless potential.

Sustainability isn’t a slogan at THP. It’s part of the process.
With support from NIB, solar panels now power part of our production — lightening our footprint without lightening the quality of what we make.
For us, protecting the environment and practicing the craft are the same thing.
Handmade products. Protected resources. Both, together.

Every sheet of THP paper passes through the same quiet step: drying. For decades, that meant laying paper out under open sky and waiting on the weather.
This year, we introduced an electric dryer to work alongside our traditional sun-drying process - not to replace it, but to keep production steady when the weather doesn't cooperate.
The result: faster turnaround, fewer delays, and the same handmade quality our artisans have always delivered.
Innovation, in service of tradition.

The story of handmade paper begins long before the final product reaches your hands. At THP, women are involved in every stage of the process - from dyeing and drying paper sheets to sewing journals, crafting envelopes, making lampshades, preparing incense packaging, and creating decorative products that carry Nepalese craftsmanship to the world. Each product represents more than skill. It represents employment, independence, creativity, and the preservation of traditional knowledge. When you choose handmade paper, you support the artisans whose hands shape every detail with patience and care.
