The school is situated in the Heart of Maidenhead and we row out of Maidenhead Rowing Club.

Last weekend our alumni carried the flag for CCSBC at Maidenhead Regatta during the summer. Lots of fun had and coming away with wins in:

O 4+

It’s great that they all still want to represent the club even after they have moved on to uni and work!

Fantastic weekend of racing from Josh in the GB 4x at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Switzerland.

They won the gold medal today building on silver from the day before. πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡

Well done Josh, it’s an achievement to row for GB, but to then win a gold medal on an international stage is amazing!

British Championships 2026

Finishing the season with a bang, CCSBC had 33 crews racing across the four days.

The club picked up multiple medals across the weekend and with many crews getting some fantastic side by aided racing in the A Finals.

Congratulation to Josh on being selected to race for the GB Rowing Team at the Coupe de la Jeunesse! Racing starts on Saturday in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Congratulations to two of our fantastic alumni for their wins at Henley Royal Regatta!

Joe Stobbs (β€˜20) won the Wyfold Challenge Cup with Thames Rowing Club. This being his first win after reaching the weekend four times.

Jake Wincomb (β€˜20) won the Silver Goblets & Nickalls’ Challenge Cup with Marlow Rowing Club and Tom Digby of Leander. Jake has now won all 3 elite sweep events at Henley, joining a select few athletes to achieve this and added to his 4 red boxes.

The sun sets on the Fawley quads regatta, after a tremendous race against Tideway in the quarter finals.

Well done Tommy, James, Seb, Josh and Mr Richardson, you have done the boat club and school proud, showing mature racing and commitment throughout the whole week.

Whilst no Claires Court crews will be racing the weekend, there is a strong contingent of alumni and coaches racing:

Jake Wincomb (β€˜20) continues his charge in the Goblets against Martin & Achterfeld, GER at 10:40.

Reading A and Mr Long race at 11:00 in the Prince of Wales against Nautilus & Edinburgh.

Joe Stobbs (β€˜20) races for Thames A against Molesey in the Wyfold at 11:40.

The Marlow boat of Harry Ruinet (β€˜23), Max Pianta (β€˜22) and Mr Bird race at 14:10 in the Thames against London.

To finish the day, Nuala MacFarlane (β€˜22) races for Edinburgh & Leeds at 18:20 in the Princess of Wales against Reading University.

What a race from the lads! Definitely the race of the day with an official verdict of 6 inches, kudos to Hinksey for such a great race!

The Fawley quad continue their regatta tomorrow at 19:05 against Tideway Scullers.

First race of the day, Mr Wreford races in the Prince of Wales against Nautilus & Edinburgh at 9:00.

Jonathan Cameron (β€˜16) and Tom Ballinger (β€˜15) start their regatta in the Visitors at 9:10, for Leander A against Leander B.

Mr Long races for Reading A in the Prince of Wales, against Stuttgarter, GER at 9:50.

Jake Wincomb (β€˜20) along with pairs partner Tom Digby (Paris 2024 Olympic champion) races in the Goblets at 10:05 against Donaghy & Nares.

Next up is Oliver Costley (β€˜17), racing in the Queen Mother for Leander, at 14:05 against Oxford Brookes & Queens Belfast.

Nuala MacFarlane (β€˜22) races in the new event the Princess of Wales for Edinburgh & Leeds versus Tideway & Proteus-Eretes, NED at 16:05.

Max Pianta (β€˜22), Harry Ruinet (β€˜23) and Mr Bird race again in the Thames for Marlow A at 17:30 against De Maas, NED.

Hannah Hickson (β€˜22) races for Brown B, USA against Brown A, USA in the Island at 16:10.

Joe Stobbs (β€˜20) and Thames A race again in the Wyfold at 18:35, racing London.

Miss Bird races at 18:45 for Marlow against Leander in the Danesfield.
