Harstad Open 2026

Second year in a row competing in Harstad Open. And this time, we brought more baddies with us. TSI Baddies tried to conquer Harstad and Kvæfjord right before easter this year. However, almost all of us got defeated by 12 year olds.
The TSI girlies drove to Harstad and slept over at Nicole’s place (Big City of Borkenes) after training with Kvæfjord Badmintonklubb. The road there was blocked and we had to do some off road driving and someone may or may not have had to p*e by the side of the road.
The frenchies were smarter and actually took the boat and had sooooo much time enjoying themselves! They also got to sleep over at Einar’s place.

We hope everyone had a blast and got to taste some delicious cake from the kiosk😉 We would like to thank everyone who participated and those who helped make this tournament go as smooth as possible, Merci beaucoup🫶🏼

Gratulerer med kvinnedagen! Heldige e vi som har så mange fine, snille og sterke damespillere i klubben vår. Disse jentan kan serve 💅 både på og utaførr banen. Dokker må ikkje la dokker bi lurt og tenke at det e girlsan som blir carried i badminton, for det ska sies at det e faktisk disse girlsan som e the brains, beauty og brawns i denne klubben.

Arctic Open 2026

Players from TSI Badminton played their best during Arctic Open, hosted by at . Unfortunately some of us got beaten by some kids but it is what it is. A lot of our newbies had their debut i both C and D class. Big thanks to the sekretariat who did their best and announced the games in French for our French members. All in all a very fun weekend. See you next week during Student NM in Badminton.

KM Hålogaland Badmintonkrets 2026

TSI Badminton arrangerte KM Hålogaland Badmintonkrets/ TSI VinterSmash den 17.-18.Jan, 2026. Det va til sammen over 70 spillere fra 9 klubber som deltok. Heile opplegget gikk så fort og vi glømte rett og slett å ta nån bilder. Men nu har vi skrapæ sammen et par bilder mest fra Mari (TBK) og Nicole (Harstad).
Vi kan melde at ca. 1/4 av kampene som ble spilt va ein 3 setters, og det sir jo bare litt om kor intenst heile turneringa va. Det e good stuff, det liker vi.
Tusen hjertelig takk t alle de som ble mæ. Retter ein stor takk t for all den støtten vi fikk (fra utstyr til «frivillige» tellere). Stor takk t de som måtte reise langt for å komme seg t 9000-byen, men fortsatt tok turen uansett). Også e det viktig å takke våre medlemmer som har vært så flinke å bidra mæ det de kunne.
Vi gleder oss t å sjå alle igjæn om nån uker på Arctic Open.

Treningssamling mæ Sonja Wåland

Vi var så heldige da inviterte oss t å bi mæ på treningssamlingen med Sonja Wåland. Sonja e klubbtrenern for elitespillere i og landslagstrener i parabadminton. Der lærte vi oss bl.a. doublestaktikk, plassering og strategi. Alle 7 stykker fra TSI Badminton va godt fornøyde mæ heile opplegget og kan ta mæ alt det vi har lært videre t resten av klubben.

Just a quick reminder that the local badminton club (TBK) is organising a tournament in the beginning of February here in Tromsø. The deadline to sign up for this is next Tuesday the 20th of January.

This is another opportunity to test your skills against players outside of our own club and get more experience.

So make sure to sign up by sending a message to Jingle (via Spond, messenger or instagram)

Welcome (back) to the badminton court!
TSI Badminton is opening its doors for training in week 4 (19th to 23th of January), and everyone is invited to come try out.
Whether you are a beginner or familiar with the game, come and hit some shuttles with us. Meet new people, have some fun and maybe even find a new hobby.

In order to get access to Kraft Sportsenter, you either need a full membership or can try out their free membership for open trainings (you will still need to download the app and set up this membership before the actual training).

In addition to that we would like to know how many people are attending (since we have limited capacity and rackets that can be borrowed). So in order to let this all go smoothly we ask everyone that is planning on joining to join our Spond (just search Spond in your app store) and join our group with the code LURYV. Shortly after we will accept you in our group and you are able to sign up for the trainings, so we know you are coming!
